Welcome to my realm of monochrome. I’m glad you’re here. I’m Andrew Hertel, a black and white fine art nature photographer based in San Diego, creating limited edition black and white fine art nature photography prints inspired by the quiet beauty of the natural world. Limited Edition Fine Art Prints
The majority of my images are available for purchase as museum-quality prints, each limited to editions of 100. Once 100 prints of a particular image are sold, no more will be printed.

Images from Nature Volume II
My annual book has returned after a brief hiatus, presenting a selection of my favorite images captured throughout 2021, 2022 and 2023. The book features 80 of my favorite images from the last three years printed on premium paper allowing for the contrast, texture and details of each image to shine through. The book is 8”x10”, perfect bound with a soft cover. I have also created an e-book version for this years book.
Photography Workshops & Guided Experiences
In addition to fine art prints, I offer immersive photography workshops and guided experiences in some of the world’s most compelling landscapes, including Death Valley, Yosemite, Southern Utah, and Kyrgyzstan. These small-group workshops are designed for photographers who want to slow down, explore with intention, and deepen their connection to both place and process.
