They say a picture is worth a thousand words; “ouch, damn it, bastards, ouch” and a few other choice words followed by a lot of slaps would be included in this photo. I recently had the incredible opportunity to accompany a few friends on a fly fishing trip near Mammoth Lakes, CA. We had private access to a section of the Hot Creek, two fishermen and one photographers heaven for a couple days. I found this pond of standing water with a nice reflection of the mountains in the distance, I knew I wanted this shot. What you don’t see is that I had to stand in nest of mosquitos. Even through long sleeves I received at more mosquito bites than I could count to get this shot but it was absolutely worth it! The snow this season was incredible, you can see there is still snow on the mountains even in June.
