La Jolla Tide Pools No. 1
Long Exposure of tide pools in La Jolla, CA.
I've always been fascinated how storms and swells can change the appearance of the coast line. A good swell can bring in or remove feet of sand revealing a hidden world beneath. These rocks where covered by sand for a couple months, a recent winter storm washed out just enough sand to reveal the surface of the rocks below. It's only a matter of time before a new storm brings the sand back in to cover the rocks up again.

Kanarra Creek Canyon
Walking through the slot canyons in Kanob, Utah is a pretty surreal experience. The colors change as the sun moves throughout the day.
This image was captured at sunrise with sun rising behind my camera. The dark area on the horizon is what's called the Belt of Venus or Venus's Girdle and it is the Earth's shadow.
