I truly enjoy wondering around sand dunes looking for shapes, textures, patters, light and shadows to photograph. On my first visit to this particular dune in a remote area of Death Valley NP I was lucky to come upon this scene. A strong windstorm the previous evening covered up any signs of human life and created the most beautiful textures in the sand. I was really drawn to the massive dune in the background towering over the smaller dune with beautiful textures the most beautiful contrast in shadow. I’m truly enjoying working on and creating images for my Aeolian Dunes series, the possibilities are endless.
