Capturing wildlife through the lens has a calming effect on me, allowing me to immerse myself in their world and learn their intricate behaviors. This particular photograph features a coyote, frozen in time as it howls in the serene setting of Grand Teton National Park on a crisp winter day.
In February of 2020, I embarked on a memorable journey to this breathtaking park, and the sheer beauty of the place left me awestruck on numerous occasions. Armed with an extended lens, I approached this coyote with the utmost respect for its natural habitat, ensuring that I didn't disrupt its innate rhythms. Together, we shared an intimate hour, just the two of us in the quiet wilderness.
As I focused on capturing the coyote's howl against the backdrop of a dense forest and pristine snow, I couldn't help but wonder who its call was intended for. This encounter was nothing short of extraordinary, a moment etched in my memory, a unique connection to the untamed spirit of the wild.
I hope you enjoy this image as much as I did creating it.
