San Diego Winter Wonderland

from $40.00

Capturing the magic of a rare San Diego snowfall is an extraordinary experience that I never grow tired of. These moments are like hidden treasures, waiting for the perfect combination of elements to unfold. It's a delicate dance between moisture and temperature, a yearly event that doesn't follow a strict schedule. When it does occur, it transforms the local mountains into a winter wonderland, blanketed in pristine snow. As a fine art nature photographer, I relish the challenge of capturing this ephemeral beauty, freezing it in time through my lens. It's a reminder of nature's artistry, where the fleeting and the timeless converge in a breathtaking monochromatic symphony.

The contrast between the fresh, powdery snow and the deep, enigmatic darkness of the pine trees is a sight that never ceases to amaze me. It's a stark juxtaposition – the purity of the snow against the rough, weathered bark of the trees. The inky blackness of the pines seems even darker in contrast to the luminous snow, creating a visual harmony that plays with the senses. This interplay of light and shadow, of softness and ruggedness, is where the essence of my fine art black and white photography truly comes to life. It's a timeless dialogue between two opposing forces, a silent narrative whispered through the lens of my camera, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the beauty of this natural contrast.

I hope you enjoy this image as much as I did creating it.

The Prints

I personally print all prints using archival inks, mats and paper. All images are printed on museum quality archival paper with archival inks to ensure longevity of the print.

Editions

All of my images are limited editions of 100 prints which includes all sizes of prints. After the series has expired no further prints will be made of that image.

Options

I provide several options for purchasing my prints, either as a print only, Ready to Frame Matted Prints or as Framed Prints which include a three inch mat. All prints will have a half inch border around the image and are hand signed in the lower right corner with the number of the print on the lower left corner. The Title, Capture Date, Print Date and Edition Number are signed on the back of each print. Each print will include a Certificate of Authenticity and a short story behind the image.
