Velvety Drifts

I keep repeating myself, but Death Valley National Park truly is a remarkable place, it’s unlike anywhere else I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. In January of 2022 I ventured into a very remote region of the park in search of solitude both for creating images and recalibrating myself. This trip was a success in that I was able to create a few images that I’m very proud of and I also came home feeling much more at peace with myself. Velvety Drifts was created as the sun was setting casting beautiful soft light and shadows across the sand dunes, I just loved the softness in the windswept drifts of sand.

I hope you enjoy this image as much as I did creating it.
