Aeolian Dunes
Sand dunes are one of the most dynamic landscapes I've ever worked in. The wind is constantly reshaping the surface — ridges, ripples, curves — and the light, whether early morning, midday, or just before dark, hits all of it differently.
The Aeolian Dunes series grew out of time spent in the dunes of Death Valley — Mesquite, Eureka, Ibex — moving slowly and paying attention. Shapes, forms, patterns, textures. The way a slope catches light on one side and drops into shadow on the other.
This is an ongoing series. The desert keeps changing, and I keep going back.
